With regards to Council's use of Recover we found it to be an extremely effective way of recording storm damage to Council's Assets. The cost estimation feature was easy to use and allowed Council to submit storm damage costs in a format that was acceptable to RMS. The ability to collect all relevant field data using an android device and prepare cost estimates via the web version was also helpful.

I have found working with Asset Edge to be a great benefit to myself and Murrumbidgee Shire Council. When we carry out our asset inspection program we have been using Reflect to record our inspections, defects and repairs on our state roads as well as on local roads, footpaths and levee bank. With the reflect program being flexible Asset Edge and MSC have been able to develop a database which records our noxious weed inspections and weed infestation and information. This allows council to map out weed infestations and record what action has been taken to comply with noxious weed control. Using the software for these different inspection programs has helped the council have a well maintained defect register of its assets. We have found Asset edge to be very helpful and great to work with in developing the databases to suit the council’s needs and with any other problems we may incur.

I have been involved with administrating and supporting Asset Edge products now for the last 6 years and really enjoy my part/involvement with their systems. The Reflect.NET system is constantly expanding at Cootamundra to include the maintenance of more and more types of Council assets. The systems are built to be useable in the field and provide simplicity where required and on the other hand, provide sophisticated reporting to fulfil the requests of management etc. CSC has just implemented Control and is looking forward to managing our Works projects in this software package, which provides a one-stop-shop for all of the projects reference information and providing a straight-forward data entry point for field staff. Really nice products, easy to maintain and great support and ongoing development.

Dungog Shire Council utilised the Recover android software to capture damage from the recent April 2015 storm. Council were very impressed with the quick response from your company’s Solutions Consultant Cindy McLucas in organising tablets and training to allow our staff to begin the extensive data capture process. Using this software on tablets or mobile phones was very easy, staff were able to navigate the software with a few hours training. The subsequent review of damage and costing of the remediation works was much easier than previous events where we relied on memories and a few photos to determine the damage cost. I would recommend this package to other Council’s prior to the next disaster event to allow quick responses and more accurate data pickup.

Gwydir Shire have been using the Reflect System of logging defects and accomplishments on the main road network that it maintains under the RMCC system, for a few years now and I have found the system to be an excellent tool for this work and feel that it could be used on a far greater scale for similar situations on the Shire road network. The introduction of Vigil to the RMS (formerly RTA) allows them to monitor our shires progress and work without the need for copious quantities of paper passing back and forth.

Product is very good, particularly with managing maintenance on our State Road Network. It also proved very worth while after a flood where Council claimed for flood repairs under the natural disaster funding across our entire network. Support is also very good, requests are attended to promptly and appropriately.

I have been using Reflect for approximately 10 years now and have always found it to be a logical system which has the provision for users to source the information quickly, using one screen without the need to scroll up or down. I particularly like the ability of the system to print maps showing the location of defects, which has been of great assistance to our work groups.

It has been awesome few weeks for us with the Recover software after you have made some changes to it…. Before Lyle was here this software was purchased but we never thought of using it….but now it’s all going great and the learning curve of this software going great as well. Asset Edge is extremely professional when it comes to its software products. Council has been with Asset Edge for a number of years using Reflect and now Control software. I have found Asset Edge to be more than helpful in backing up their products 100%. Problems are sorted straight away with no hesitation and information is updated regularly to the user’s needs. Conferences are held annually to provide updates, training and feedback on improvements that may be useful for their software and users. Asset Edge software would have to be one of the easiest programs on the market to gather, store and report information.
